The 28th of May, 2020 is as a new milestone in the world of aviation. On this date, an all-electric Caravan 208B aircraft took on to the skies of Washington. It is so far the largest all-electric aircraft flight in the skies. AIRBUS MAVERIC- is this the future?
Finally a new toy in town? Not yet…. AIRBUS revealed its new design to cut the level of Carbon Emissions in the Singapore Airshow this February. The design is named MAVERIC, an acronym for “Model Aircraft for Validation and Experimentation of Robust Innovative Control”. The design features blended-wing design which if successful reduces fuel consumption by approximately 20% as compared to contemporary single isle designs. The project was launched in 2017.
